This is my litle report of the concert. (Litle because my english isn't very
good).The newspaper say:
The most repeated sentence after KW show was "Is the best show I ever
seen".The songs list was the same that in the other concerts.
In "Poket calculator" they did a funny and very good performance.
The end of the show was very impressive with 'music don't stop' that never
ends....PS: I have a frend that take some photos in the concert. I will put the URL
when the images be on-line.MUSIC NON STOP... MUSIC NON STOP... MUSIC NON STOP...

The KRAFTWERK concert was great, perfect. As always, it was impossible
that they disappointed. At the next day I meet Ralf Hütter, I ask him an
autograph, but he didn't want make a photo with us neither tell us about
the "new" album. He was quite a lot of cold. On the contrary Florian, who I
saw in the concert of Aux 88, signs my acreditation and we made some
photos. My brother saw him at Barcelona's cathedral accompany of a girl
friend of him and they made some photos too. Even they ask to my brother
that he take photos of them in the cathedral!yours faithfully,

Subject: (kw) a personal review from SONARI went to see kw at the SONAR festival and I have very busy trying to
catch up with all the mail that I found in my mailbox.I met up with some Spanish Aktivitaet readers, some of them from as
early as 1993, and other fans, like Rafa from this list, Manuel, that
came from Madrid, the "familia Kraftwerk", which are a middle-aged
couple with a young child, all of them KW fans, Andres, etc.Later on, inside the concert hall, I met some other friends who are
into e-music.I won't make mention of the songs they played, etc. Much has already
been said about this. Before the show, the little kw-noises were played, then a dialog in
English was played. I think I heard someone say this was from the
film "Blade runner".
Then the usual intro in German "meine damen..." (sorry for any bad
spelling!), Numbers, and the curtains opening. To me, the show was obviously the same as the 1991 and 1993 shows
that I attended. Still so, I noticed that most songs had been
updated. The graphics have also been updated I think, if my memory is
not too bad.
The hall was quite full with an audience of 5500 people, judging from
the figures given by the organisation. 600 tickets were available on
sale in the outside right before the concert. Most were not sold due
to the rumour that had been published in a few media. The show was a great success, judging by the reactions of the
audience. Personally, I enjoyed a lot. The Kling Klang setup, the
videos, the music, the sound, the old guys, the people. It was a
magic atmosphere.
And yes. It's the same old show since 1981. But I really enjoyed it.
To me the highlights were TEE and Man Machine. The worst were the two
new songs, and I expected a bit more from Music Non Stop. I liked
that one better at 1991 and 1993. The two new songs sounded quite
standard to me, without the KW trademark. Other people shared this
opinion.F. Kevorkian was opening and closing the show, doing DJ. Nothing
special.Things that I noticed:
the two laptop computers in the center of the Kling Klang gear. The
one on the left, showed a graphic relevant to the song being played,
in much the same style as the ones used for the video projections:
TdF cover,
"Maschine" (or Machine) in the graphic style of the projections,
"Radioactivity",
the old TEE train in colour,
the blue Autobahn sign,
etcIt seems there were two laser disc players beneath the laptops.
I noticed Ralf and Florian were using pedals. Ralf was playing
melodies. Hilpert looked like controlling many things in the show.
Hilpert seemed to be enjoying the show, as he was almost dancing in
some parts. Even Ralf was moving his leg in places, specially during
the two new songs.I also noticed Ralf singing one of the songs in English and then in
German. The encore of Pocket Calculator showed "chiquito Florian"
(humour for the Spanish readers) doing his funny robotic movements,
with Hilpert joining him too in those movements. No bit of lyrics in
Spanish for this song this time.Additional comments:
I heard Radio 3 broadcasted, or taped, the whole show.
(Alguien de Espanya estaba escuchando Radio 3 la madrugada del
18 al 19, entre las 0:30 y las 2:30???)I heard Ralf Huetter gave an interview to Tomas Fernando Flores, from
Radio 3.
(Alguien de Espanya ha oido esta entrevista???)Some Spanish artists of the electronic music scene were at the show:
Madelman, people from Fangoria, people from Aviador Dro (hola!),
people from Krypton (hola!), people from Vocoder (hola!)Only two or three people were allowed a photo pass for the show.
Images of the show were filmed by TVE and TV3. A few seconds were
played on TV.
3 professional-looking mikes were seen on the mixing-desk.
One of the organizers said on the radio that the band were very happy
with the audience.Jose Garcia

I want to remark on my KW concert at Sonar comment:

Note that my first comment has some inaccuracies and mistakes.
Thank you!
Best whishes.
